The xx stood out at Bestival. In a weekend filled with all kinds of noise and colourful costumes, three magicians - introverted if not shy, and dressed in black, thrilled the Main Stage crowd with a typically low-key set including tracks from their second album Coexist. For me it was the best performance of the weekend; honourable mentions go to Alt-J, Roots Manuva, and of course Stevie Wonder.
